This page is still under construction as you will see. But there is a LOT of good information here now.

Beds for Small Dogs

From a practical standpoint, I suggest getting dark color beds because they don’t show the dirt as much as light colors and therefore don’t have to be washed as often. I especially like the “cave” beds with removable covers (for ease of washing) because your dog feels more secure and stays warm.

Potty Training

Please note that I am not in favor of this but am including it because some clients want it. When you train your dog to ring the bell, you intend that he rings it when he has to pee or poop, but he may learn – very quickly – that it’s an easy way to get you to let him outside.

Puppy and Dog Potty Training Books - I have written 3 books on puppy and dog potty training, aka house training, aka housebreaking. My Puppy Potty Training book won the gold eBook award!

Please email me and I will send  you my potty training handout.

Sweaters & Coats

There are so many options here that it’s difficult to recommend anything specifically. Be sure take your dog’s measurements to size the clothes correctly. Small dogs with short hair need sweaters and coats to help regulate their body temperature.
