Dog & Puppy Trainer Certifications

I have had to pass rigorous examinations and have the requisite education and experience to become certified in these organizations.

I am very proud to be the FIRST TRAINER WORLDWIDE to hold all certifications!

  • American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (AKC CGC) Evaluator
(October 2009) (The AKC is much more than a breed registry — it provides educational events, competitions such as agility and conformation, interacts with the veterinary community and governmental entities, and certifies evaluators to test for the Canine Good Citizen test.)

  • Association Of Animal Behavior Professionals (Professional Dog Trainer, Professional Dog Behavior Consultant)

  • International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants
(July 2004) (When I became certified, I was one of 135 trainers worldwide to be a CDBC.)

  • National Association Of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI)
(April 2003)   (When I became certified, I was one of 425 NADOI members in this organization.)

  •  Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers
(November 2002)    (I am pleased to announce that I am one of the first 500 dog trainers worldwide to have passed the CCPDT exam.)

I am a UCLA graduate and also owned my own business as a Certified Court Reporter for the State of California.

In 2011 all of a sudden, I had several clients with teacup puppies and dogs. I quickly learned that training teacups was different than training larger dogs, both because of their size and health issues. Since there was conflicting on the Internet - and sometimes downright stupid - advice, I decided to write a series of books with the help of my clients.
